So I was on RSBots forums, browsing through some threads, while I come across a sad post. It was a post of a kid who tried to commit suicide. Here is his attempt. I couldn't help but laugh as it's the most fail you could get. (He posted a thread about contemplating his suicide). "Guess I can post what happened not like it would make a difference if now or a few days. Day after I posted that thread I was home alone and feelin shittier than ever so I decide hell let us end it. I figured if I only tried one thing it would mess up somehow so I was going to try and completely fuck myself over, turns out it still messed up. I tied a rope up and made a noose out of it and made sure it wouldn't come untied and he rope hadn't been used before so I figured it wouldn't break. After I got that taken care of I went downstairs and got some vodka and popped a shit load of pills then walked back upstairs, after I felt the pills kicking in I walked over and got the rope around my neck and pulled it tight. I got up on a little ledge I had on my stairs was going to just jump off and I waited until I got to the point of almost passing out then stepped forward. I was choking for about 10 seconds when the rope broke(brand new rope, I never expected it to break), and as I fell I ended up hitting a speaker below directly on my stomach, so when I did hit it the force of it caused me to puke my guts out. So not only did the hanging failed, but the OD did to and dad walked in and rushed me to hospital. Got out the next day and ended up having to do therapy for week n 2 days for about 6 hours a days. I had to take anti depressants the whole time, but they said I could lower my time at the therapist today and its safe for me to return to school." FAIL!?

Marketplace

If you're in for tons of applications and games, this is where the iPad dominates. Amazon just launched there Kindle Fire and does not have a big marketshare as of yet. You can sideload some applications that are on the Google marketplace, however, some of them will not work.

For example...

It has no gyroscope meaning no games like Asphalt 6. Tap Tap Revolution 4 just closes when you launch it, and Beejive IM won't even install due to some of the things it requires.

Sure, Kindle could have added an gyroscope, but, it would've broke there $199.99 price line.

If you are looking for a tablet with gyroscope and android 3.x, I would definitely recommend the Acer Iconia Tab A500, as I tried that out and for $400 the thing is very smooth and nice.

Price

Obviously, Kindle Fire wins this area, only costing $199.99 while the iPad costs $499.99.

"User Interface"

There is a bunch of people who would fight with me over this...but I do believe the Kindle Fire's interface is much easier to grasp as well as fluent than iPad's.

Battery Life

The Kindle Fire lasts approx. 11 hours on a fully charged battery, while the iPad lasts approx. 10 hours on a fully charged battery. The Kindle Fire has a longer battery life than the iPad.

Screen Size / Weight

The Kindle Fire is much smaller and weighs a lot less than the iPad. I would rather use the Kindle Fire when I'm going places rather than carrying around a bulky iPad. I believe the iPad is fairly nice, however, I wouldn't want to carry it around all day and I surely don't like playing games on it all the time.

Although Windows Phone devices were just released last year they already have over 30,000 applications. But are these applications worth it compared to Androids? The marketplace on Windows Phone 7 has no official multi-IM client like Beejive IM yet, they have no official HBO Go, Pandora, or Hulu application either.

Games

Like the iPhone, Windows Phone 7 has a dedicated game area known as Xbox Live. Android currently does not offer a game hub like Windows Phone 7. The games aren't as good on the Android device as they are on Windows Phone 7 (porbably due to Microsoft Game Studios working on Windows Phone 7 games).

you: no, everything else is fine but you might want to send an email to your supervisor or someone higher up as if origin is going to compete with steam on a full time basis
